Boomla blends jazz and funk grooves with the soulful, sexy, and sultry
singing of Syrene, with the addition of unexpected trumpet, clarinet,
and other exotic instruments and drum loops by the duo's other half,
Ben. Reminiscent of genre-benders such as Sneaker Pimps, Boomla is
definitely carving their own path.

Clif is interviewed in the 50th Anniversary Special Issue of Audio Technology Magazine. In the interview, Clif discusses what he values the most, following the "indispensable" theme of the issue. Clif recently completed recording and mixing an album for Australian indie pop-rockers Little Birdy with producer John King of the Dust Brothers ( Beck, Beastie Boys). The resulting album "Hollywood" debuted at #8 on the ARIA charts! The album has been officially certified Gold, and is expected to reach the Platinum sales award soon. The album debuted at #24 on Billboard's Heatseeker chart. The Noisettes have been chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 10 artists to Watch. They also have been chosen as one of 6 Hot New Artists for 2007 by HMV. The Noisettes got an amazing review in the New York Times of their SXSW performance. Here is a quote from the review: "Two of the most extraordinary bands defied categories and tore apart verse-chorus-verse forms... And the Noisettes were exhilarating and explosive, jumping from era to era punk-funk to vaudeville swing to blues-rock as their singer and bass player, Shingai Shoniwa, belted questions like 'What's wrong with the human condition?'" Prepare for lift off. After recently completing a hugely successful arena tour in the UK and Europe supporting Muse, they continue to tear it up on their current US tour supporting TV on the Radio, and were personally asked by Pharrell Williams to open for his London shows. After this tour, they will go back on the road, being asked by Bloc Party to support them on yet another tour. One of the tracks Clif produced was also included on the infamous Pete Doherty's Babyshambles latest release, titled "Back to the Bus", a compilation of their favorite songs to listen to on the road. Clif tracked 3 songs with cool LA band Death House Chaplain. The singer has a stunning voice that will pull you in. Clif also tracked drums with the fantastic Matt Chamberlain for artists Goldie (she is ON FIRE!), Moshav Band (How great and different this Israeli band is), and Silya (RCA) Anouk won the 2006 MTV EMA for Best Dutch/Belgian act for the second year in a row. Anouk also wins her 5th Edison award (the Dutch equivalent of the Grammy) for Best National Female Singer. In other Anouk news, the album Clif produced entitled "Hotel New York" is officially double platinum in Holland and Platinum in Belgium. The album was the second highest selling album in Holland for 2005, and the single for "Girl" is the highest selling single of all time in Holland, beating out "Hit Me Baby One More Time" by you know who. Anouk also won 3 TMF Belgium (MTV) Awards for this album. Clif mixed the new single "Falling Apart" for The Lovemakers. Clif worked in Italy tracking new songs with Sting with his new stripped down band with drummer Josh Freese, and guitarists Lyle Workman and long time Sting collaborator Dominic Miller. They are scheduled to finish the tracks in LA this spring. Clif also mixed a new album for Dutch hard rockers Green Lizard called "Las Armas Del Silencio". Clif produced two albums for this innovative post-grunge band, but couldn't get over to Europe again to do this one due to his hectic schedule. This one is definitely the heaviest yet. Their tour in Europe supporting the amazing Skin from Skunk Anansie, another one of Clif's clients, was a huge success.
